Role
Communications Strategy, Creative Direction, Website Strategy, Accessibility Leadership
Overview
All In For Kansas Kids was developed as both a statewide initiative and a public-facing communications ecosystem supporting early childhood efforts across Kansas. The work included development of a flexible brand system, a large-scale website experience, strategic communications materials, and data visualization tools designed to support families, workforce professionals, community leaders, and policymakers.
The Challenge
The initiative served diverse audiences that often used different language, priorities, and perspectives to discuss the same topics. The challenge was not simply creating a website or visual identity, but building a communication system capable of supporting multiple audiences while reinforcing a cohesive statewide vision. The project also needed flexibility to evolve alongside changing programs, partnerships, and strategic priorities.
Strategic Approach
The work focused on creating communication and navigation systems that organized complex information in ways that felt approachable, actionable, and audience-specific while still maintaining a consistent statewide identity. The website structure intentionally created pathways for families, workforce professionals, and communities while connecting users to broader ecosystem initiatives, strategic planning efforts, and statewide resources.
Outcomes
One of the most valuable aspects of this work was recognizing that many audiences were discussing the same underlying challenges using entirely different language, priorities, and perspectives. Accessibility, audience clarity, navigation structure, and messaging consistency all became interconnected tools for helping diverse groups engage with a common statewide vision.
